About the site

I've had "Rhapsody" as a site, in one place or another, for many years. It was a site hosted by IVillage, back when they gave away free websites to women. There was a thriving community of website builders, sharing graphics, visiting each other's sites. I remember the fun competitions they had, to create a page on a given topic. They made building websites fun! When iVillage closed, I re-created Rhapsody as a subdomain in one of my own domains, The SnowQueen.

When I bought hosting from X10Premium, I decided to create the old Rhapsody again. To that end, I have found much of my old site on the Internet Archive website (wonderful resource!) and reconstructing the pages, as best I can. I hope you enjoy the results. I bought a domain, rhapsody.me.uk from Namecheap on February 7 2025. I wanted the .nu version, but it's being held by a domain squatter. So I took a chance and bought the Welsh version of "rhapsody", which is "rhapsodi"! There is no difference in the pronunciation, and I actually think it looks prettier.

Rhapsodi.nu is hosted by Peroriaeth. I made the graphics using a set of clip art by MaxDesignHub, from Etsy.
